If you don't have an offer, you just have a writing hobby

This week, my girlfriend is launching her first offer on her business for the very first time.
And I'm extremely proud of her, because this was something that blocked and challenged her enormously.
The idea of selling her first program, of showing up online, of even showing on the internet that she wants to sell a program.
She really had a lot of blocks and difficulties getting through that step.
I wanted to share the story of how she managed to get past it, because it happened recently, just last weekend.
Basically, we went to visit my mom, who is also a coach for entrepreneurs.
We talked quite a bit together about the blocks she was running into around launching her offer.
And in the end, after that conversation, she managed to find a format that worked for her and that she actually wanted to launch.
Her offer is a WhatsApp coaching offer over five weeks, at €110 per week.
She helps people overcome the fear of judgment to create content online and get started on social media.
Unlimited support on WhatsApp, with a kickoff call at the beginning, answering questions and following up over five weeks, at a weekly rate.
And we're really happy to have found a format that worked for her, because the format, the way it's structured, fit her schedule.
She also has a job on the side, and she didn't want to fill her days with calls, but she still wanted to support clients.
Having WhatsApp support allowed her to have that closeness and that async follow-up that lets her support her clients while keeping the freedom she wants.
And just the fact of finding the right pricing, the right format, and the right positioning unlocked everything for her.
In the end, we managed to quickly put her offer together.
Her sales page, we built it on a Notion page.
We created the email sequence using Claude Code.
Her sequence is planned out for seven weeks.
The first email went out yesterday, and there will be one email per day for a week, each one tackling the fear of judgment from a slightly different angle and promoting the launch of her coaching offer, which she can then promote in every one of her emails from now on.
I'm sharing this story because this is really the lesson I wanted to share with you.
If you already have an online audience today, even a small one: you don't need a massive audience.
For reference, my girlfriend has 5,000 Instagram followers and around 700 email subscribers, which is already more than enough to make money and earn a good living.
But even if you have 100 people, if they're 100 very qualified people, that's more than enough to start launching your first offer.
And if you have blocks around this: what to sell, what format, and so on, the most important thing is really to find the format, the pricing, and the approach with which you can be aligned.
There are a ton of formats.
In reality, there are an infinite number of ways to support people online.
And one of the best freedoms you have with an online business is precisely being able to choose the format that works best for you and adapt it.
For example, it could be an online course, like I did when I started.
It could simply be templates as a smaller product.
It could even be a live workshop for an hour and a half.
It could be one-on-one coaching, group coaching, or coaching only via WhatsApp in async communication, like my girlfriend did.
There are so many different ways.
And so, if you open up your field of possibilities a little and look at all the options available to you, I'm convinced that right now you can already find and create an offer that suits you, that you could promote, and that you could start to sell.
It's really crucial to do this.
Because if you keep creating content and trying to grow your business without an offer to promote, and you keep pushing it back, the truth is you're going to end up discouraging yourself.
And deep down, it's going to exhaust you internally, because you know deep down that you want a business that makes you money, that you want to grow, and that you want to succeed through it.
But if you don't do the work of having an offer from the start, it will always remain a distant and uncertain dream that belongs to the future.
Where you hope that maybe it'll appear on its own, that you'll find the perfect offer, or that clients will just show up and pay you even without an offer.
But that's not how it works.
You need to have an offer, people need to understand how you can help them, and you're the one who has to define that.
You have to give your clients the opportunity to pay you so you can help them.
So I really invite you, if this is something that's blocking you today, to think about it and find a first offer you can start promoting.
Honestly, anyone can launch a 1-on-1 coaching offer by the hour, at €100 an hour, for example.
Everyone can do that.
What matters is that it exists, that it's out there, that you talk about it, and that you start putting it in place.
Because remember: if you have no offer, you have no business, you just have a writing hobby.
And by the way, if you have blocks today around launching your offer, reply to this email with the block you're running into.
I'll respond personally, and I might even write a dedicated email about it if it's a topic that comes up often.
And if it's not that at all that's blocking you in your business, but something else, reply to this email and tell me anyway.
I'll be happy to help.
Thanks for reading...
And welcome back to the Ark.
Noah.
