Welcome to the 41th Episode of the Ark Digest™️.
Every week, I share the unfiltered reality of building Noah's Ark, the wins, the struggles, and the insights that emerge when building a profitable and purposeful creator business.
Inside each Digest, you'll see:
↱ Real progress updates on my current projects
↱ Raw thoughts and breakthrough moments
↱ Weekly inspiration fueling my journey
↱ Lessons you can steal for your own path
↱ Data from tracking my habits and productivity
Think of this as a direct line into my mind as I build my dream creator business, so you get inspired and motivated to progress on your own journey.
Let's begin:
1) First thoughts on Eden App Revamp
Last digest I talked about how I wanted to get back to manual writing from now on.
And I've been doing it everyday for the past week.
I've been mainly writing notes on Substack and X, like these ones:
I even had one that did quite well at 40 likes:
And to help me write these notes?
I've been using Eden.
So for those who were followed me before my Obsidian x Claude Code era, you know what Eden is.
But for those who don't, let me give you a quick recap:
Eden is a software created by Dan Koe.
(No need to explain who he is, y'all probably know him already)
And initially, Eden was a Second Brain app.
But after a lot of trial and errors, they realized going the Second Brain app route wasn't the right move, and they decided to totally change the direction of the software.
And this has been, in my opinion, an amazing decision.
Now Eden is 100% focused on helping creators create viral content on Social Media.
It does so by helping you find proven ideas that already work, write inside the app, and even directly schedule content from Eden to your social.
(There are also some AI functions to help you write or repurpose content with your voice but I haven't tried those since I've been in my no AI writing arc - but for example you can give Eden your social media handles and it will analyze your existing content and create a complete voice profile from it so the AI is able to write in your voice and stuff like that)
My favorite feature so far has been the Eden discover tab:
From this tab, you can filter by different content topics and find the outlier posts that have been working on all social media.
You can of course filters by socials, so you can find all the recent top performing videos in the productivity niche in youtube, or all top performing philosophy notes on Substack, etc.
The best part are the different filtering options for these posts, like:
Breakouts: Shows creators under 50k whose recent posts did 5x their usual numbers
Hidden Gems: Shows creators under 20k whose posts did 10x their usual reach
You also have other filters like Proven at scale,Viral now, All-time greats, etc.
Those filters (especially the breakouts and hidden gems one) are great to find ideas that have been viral DESPITE not having a big audience yet.
(cuz you can copy Dan Koe's tweet, you won't get as viral as him just cuz you don't have is authority - but posts from small creators that went viral prove that the idea in itself was enough to go big)
The other way to use the Discover tab is to create lists of creators you follow:
Or directly analyze one specific account in particular:
Anyway, you get the point.
It's a great place to get inspiration for ideas and format that have potential to go viral on social media, which is the most crucial aspect of the content game.
Just randomly scrolling in the app in the discover tab will give you some ideas that you can then directly save inside the app or to your Second Brain.
I'll probably create a full youtube video to present the app and all the features soon, so stay tuned for that.
But I'm really impressed by their pivot.
Honestly things were looking grim with the previous Eden version and I know the team faced a lot of hardships.
But this new positioning is very good and really serves the niche that make the most sense for Dan:
Creators and social media agencies.
So yeah, very excited on using it more and I also saw that there is a Claude Code MCP, so it's really cool, haven't tried it yet but there is definitely something cool to do by connecting my Second Brain with the Eden MCP.
2) My current workout challenge
I've been getting back to working out this week with a new routine:
40/50 pull-ups and 100 push-ups everyday.
Simple but effective.
Currently writing this newsletter after doing them and my shoulders hurt lmao.
But I want to try to scale my pull-ups number until I'm able to do 100 in one session again (without it taking 3 hours of rest between reps)
I'll keep you updated on that
3) Rebuilding the writing habit
As I said, I'm currently rebuilding my writing habit, but tbh it's pretty hard.
Apart from the fact that I was pretty tired after my hectic vacation week, sitting down to write everyday in your computer is hard at first.
But... Is it really?
I think the real reason it's hard is because we're putting too much pressure on ourselves.
But as soon as you remove some pressure or expectations and just start writing without any goals or desire to perform, it's actually incredibly easy to do.
Writing has been hard because I instantly wanted to write some crazy-a** long form content with lots of depths and value that sounds smart af, but this lead me to procrastinate on it.
That's why I didn't sent any email apart from my digest last week, and only posted Notes & tweets.
But I realized this morning that this pressure is what prevented me from rebuilding the habit in the first place.
What I've always been great at is having one idea, and writing one email a day about it without trying too hard to be the most amazing piece of writing ever.
Paradoxically, by doing this process everyday, the momentum makes it so there are days when you're writing very good piece naturally, because you built the habit and the creativity is at its peak.
That's why from today, I'll try to get back on writing one daily email, with one simple tip, idea or perspective, without putting too much pressure on it having to be the greatest email of all time.
Because I know that true progress is made in the daily habit and in the consistency, not in random bursts of intensity and endless self pressure.
Anyway, that was it for today's digest.
Thanks for reading this 41th episode of the Ark Digest™️.
As always, I wish you the best on your own journey…
And welcome back to the Ark,
Noah.
